Here, at Northeastern, the fifth Sunday of the month is often an occasion to have what we call a “singspiration” which is an all music service with many requests from the congregation. The next one is schedule for the 30th of January. Join us if you can.
At our last singspiration we enjoyed the music of special guest, Jim Roskam (trombone), who teamed up with Pastor Pierpont (piano), Peyton Wood (trumpet) and Sara Knight (French Horn) playing “Immortal, Invisible”, “Before the Throne of God Above”, and “May the Mind of Christ My Savior.”
In a lighter moment, Pastor Pierpont even surprised his mother “for her birthday” by asking her to sing a solo based on her life verse, “Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace”. Listen as she sweetly sings her testimony while he accompanies at the keyboard.
Of course, Northeastern is a singing church. The congregation sings new worship songs passionately, but we still enjoy the classic hymns of our heritage. This is a recording of the congregation singing a verse of “It Is Well” from that special evening. Enjoy!
