MARK HOLEMAN

Lead Pastor

At the age of 12, Pastor Mark was born again and baptized. As Mark grew up in Christian schools, he felt called to the ministry as he gained ministry-related experiences such as preaching, mission trips, and Evangelism Explosion.


Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Studies in 1992 at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa, Pastor Mark continued his studies at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Plymouth, Minnesota, completing his Master of Divinity degree in 1996.


From 1997 to 2007, Pastor Mark’s ministry experience began by being the Assistant Pastor of Youth and Outreach at Calvary Community Church in Northglenn, Colorado. Additionally, Pastor Mark was the Lead solo pastor at First Baptist Church in Newaygo, Michigan from 2007 to 2017. By the providence and goodness of God, Pastor Mark became the Lead Pastor of Northeastern Baptist Church in the summer of 2017.


Pastor Mark and Jann have been happily married since 1993. They have three children: Christian (married to Anna), Adam, and Laura. The Holeman family has various interests including playing basketball, biking, watching sports (mainly football and basketball), golf, playing games, reading and trying new things.



NATHAN PIERPONT

Pastor of Worship & Congregational Care

During family devotions in the summer of 1972, Nathan was born again.  He felt God’s call on his life from an early age. Later, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and a Master of Ministry degree from Baptist Bible Seminary.


In 1992, Pastor Nathan and Jennifer were married and soon after entered full-time ministry serving as youth pastor, church planter, and musician. For about five years prior to coming to Northeastern, the Pierponts had a full-time concert ministry to churches in the Midwest.


The Pierponts came to Northeastern in 2002, and Northeastern ordained Nathan to the gospel ministry in 2006. Nathan and his wife, Jennifer, have seven children. Nathan oversees music and congregational care.
